Portugal’s Great Gold medal belongs to Tejo and to Adega Cooperativa do Cartaxo

The Vinhos de Portugal competition awarded the Great Gold medal to Bridão Colheita Tardia 2013, the only late-harvest wine to win gold.

This wine was created from carefully selected Fernão Pires grapes that grow in the local countryside, where conditions are considered to be ideal development of the fungus botrytis cinerea, providing sugars and acids concentration by berries dehydration.

Bridão Colheita Tardia has an intense flavor, fruity, sweet and fresh with a complex aroma of good intensity, suggesting tropical fruits.

They were produced only 5,000 bottles of this fantastic 2013 harvest.
