D.O.C. do Tejo Red 2016
GRAPE VARIETIES: 100% Merlot.
VINIFICATION: Total destemming, crushing, prolonged maceration for 5 days with control of fermentation temperatures at about 26ºC.
STAGE: 4 months in Oak barrels and later stage of 9 months in bottle.
SOIL TYPES: Clay-calcareous soil
Alcoholic strength by volume: 14%
AROMA: Of good intensity with notes of raspberry, blackcurrant and black pepper.
FLAVOUR: Fruity, soft, balanced and fresh with good structure, final with very present toast notes.
FOOD PAIRING: Great to accompany red and well seasoned meat dishes, including hunting meat and traditional Portuguese cuisine. It should be served at 16º to 18ºC.
